Crawford Family Farm is a small, fourth generation dairy farm nestled between the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains in the fertile Champlain Valley, in Whiting, VT. Run by siblings Cindy, Jim and Sherry, maintaining a line of cattle started by their grandparents in the 1950s.
Recognizing the superior quality of their product, and suffering from dropping milk prices, cheese making as a value-add model of dairying became an attractive option. Committed to preserving the family farm and their prize-winning herd of heritage Ayrshire breed cows, the Crawfords have integrated their cheese making facilities into a working farm.
Some of their cows are descendants of the original Ayrshires from five decades ago, and some of Jasper Hill Farm's own herd are as well!

A beautiful Alpine style cheese, Vermont Ayr has a creamy texture, toasty nutty flavor with a long buttery finish.
